About Lindsey

Lauded for her rich mezzo timbre and fierce acting prowess, Lindsey Polcyn onstage is “unforgettable” (Sarasota Observer). She received her masters in opera at the Boston Conservatory, her bachelor’s degree in both Opera and Musical Theatre at Capital University, and is now based in Philadelphia. Lindsey has been a young artist with Sarasota Opera, Virginia Opera, and Summerscape Opera at Bard. Her most recent roles have been The Mother/The Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Mrs. McLean in Susannah, and Mrs. Nolan in The Medium. She additionally has covered tour de force principal roles, such as Azucena in Il Trovatore and Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana with Sarasota Opera. She was awarded an Encouragement Award at the Philadelphia District of the Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition, and was named a winner of the Career Bridges Grant Awards.
